September, 2005 - United States District Court, Eastern District of New York

One of our clients faced several years in federal prison following his guilty plea. Even though it seemed certain that the client would have to spend time in prison, the firm prepared a thorough and persuasive pre-sentence memorandum and prepared the client for his statement to the judge. We feel that sometimes attention to these details can make all the difference in the world. It did for this client when the district judge on the case was moved to sentence him to probation, rather than prison.

September, 2005 - New York State Supreme Court, Kings County

Our client was charged with possessing a handgun seized from the trunk of his car. Attorney Mark Pollard handled the case. The district attorney indicated that they do not plan to appeal.

Again, based upon his superior preparation the client's testimony so moved the judge that he was not even discharged from the Coast Guard.

Spring-Summer, 2005 - New York City Criminal Courts, Bronx County and Kings County

One of our clients was arrested a total of three times in two different counties based on the complaints of the same woman. We represented him on each case and all three were dismissed.

November, 2004 - New York State Supreme Court, Kings County

In a fascinating case our client was accused of conspiring with others to kidnap a livery cab driver. Thereafter, the conspirators were said to have driven the kidnap victim to a remote location where he was shot and chased. During the chase he fell and severed his spinal cord, leaving him completely paralyzed from the neck down. During the two week trial the victim identified our client as well as the license plate of his car as having been used in the crime. Attorney Jim Koenig tried the case for the firm and our client was found not guilty of all charges.
